I’m Jolene, a Brooklyn-based photographer with a deep passion for capturing life’s most meaningful moments. My journey began with formal studies in photography and multimedia at the University of Toledo and The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, earning my Associate’s Degree and launching a path shaped by early work in Los Angeles photo labs, camera stores, and a formative time living in The Netherlands—experiences that helped me develop an eye for both precision and emotion.

Today, I work as a freelance photographer specializing in portraits and events, from Fresh 48 newborn sessions to corporate panel discussions, red carpet premieres, and personal milestones like weddings, baby namings, and bar/bat mitzvahs. What I love most is connecting with people and telling visual stories that last.

I’m also the author of the YA memoir Go Ask Ogre—a collection of letters and journal entries that reflect my lifelong obsession with documentation, memory, and meaning. In that spirit, I’m beginning to share more of my archival work: scanning old negatives, restoring photographs, and exploring the quiet poetry of analog fragments. It’s a project that lives behind the scenes for now—but one close to my heart.
